6-0 -- One Game at a time!

The Big Train keeps rolling down the track defeating Woodlan 35-16. It was a little touch and go early when the Railroaders went down 10-0. Woodlan was able to get some big plays early but we made adjustments and rattled off the next 35 points. After giving up the final score late in the game the Railroaders were once again dominant.

Now comes the toughest challenge of the year when we take the Big Train down to Berne next Friday night with the showdown against the Starfires. SA has only lost to Leo and really put up a good fight against them. Let's make it 7-0 next week Railroaders! Focus on ONE GAME AT A TIME!

ROLL BIG TRAIN!

No Broken Bones

I just got an update on the Blackhawk soccer player. She does not have any broken bones although she does have a concussion. She is still being observed at the hospital but they expect her to go home soon. We are all thankful for the great care she received.

Rainy Senior Night and Volleyball

Tonight we honored our Senior Girls Soccer players in their final home game of the regular season. Aubrey Bevilaqua, Katrina Miller, Miranda Miller, Allie Murley, and Mary Mix were recognized at  the rainy halftime festivities. We are proud of these girls for their efforts and dedication to GHS Soccer. We also are grateful for the parents and their support over the last 4 years. We wish them all the Luck as they pursue their careers outside of GHS.

The Girls lost to Blackhawk 7-1. The game was delayed for an injured Blackhawk player. It appeared she would be alright but she was transported for precautionary reasons. But, keep her and her family in your prayers as the doctors make sure she is ok. If we get an update. I will post it here.

The Girls Volleyball team traveled to Angola tonight and were defeated in 3 straight games. Angola is a potential sectional opponent. Coach Richardson has some work to do to prepare the team for a busy end of the season.

Boys Soccer Raises the Bar

The Boys Soccer team is raising the bar. The Boys traveled to Eastside tonight and won another shut-out 2-0. Nathan Sliger and Karsten Cooper both scored for the Railroaders. WIth this win they are now the winningest Boys Soccer Program in GHS History, AND they have two more regular season games, PLUS the IHSAA tournament.

Senior Night for the girls is tomorrow night as the girls host Blackhawk.  The game starts at 630pm and will follow the middle school game. We will honor the Senior Girls at halftime.

The Boys Senior Night is Monday vs Central Noble. That game starts at 6pm and we will also honor the Seniors at Halftime.

Good Luck Soccer teams. WE ARE PROUD OF YOU!
