Middle School Fall Athletic Information!

Garrett Middle School Athletic Department Announces Fall Practices 

Middle School Football

n      Equipment handout will be Wednesday August 10^th at the GMS practice football field block house. 8^th graders can pick up there equipment from 6:00 to 7:00 pm.  7^th graders will be from 7:00 to 8:00 pm. Practice will begin on Thursday the 11^th from 5:30 to 7:15 pm.  For questions please contact Rick Yarian at 260-615-2917 

Middle School Boys Soccer

n      Practice will begin August 15, from 7-9 PM. Please meet at the GMS Soccer Locker Rooms located by High School Baseball Field. For questions please contact Joe Silva at 260-226-2113

Middle School Cross Country

n      Practice will begin August 8, at 8:00 am. Parents can drop off and pick up kids at the bus lot. For questions please contact Chris McGrew at 317-902-6413

Any middle school student interested in participating must have a completed physical on file.  If you have questions about the practices contact the coach of that sport. Detailed schedules of all sports teams can be found onhighschoolsports.net. All of Garrett High School Fall Athletic Practices begin on Monday, August 1^st .  Any high school student interested in participating must have a completed physical on file. Detailed schedules of all sports teams can be found on highschoolsports.net. GHS Chosen by IHSAA

Garrett High School has been chosen to host over half of the team sectional tournaments in 2011. The IHSAA has released the new sectional hosts for the upcoming season and Garrett will host 4 of the 7 events. Below is the list of tournament sites for this year:

Baseball - Garrett


The IHSAA makes the decisions of host assignments based on facilities, geography, past successful hosting, and finances. Our Community has done a wonderful job supporting the tournaments and the workers at GHS are first class.

We are so Happy to host these tournaments and feel it is great for our student-athletes and community. As always, Garrett is a great place to be! Go Railroaders!
