Rain Rain Go Away!

The Soccer Field was flooded by over 4 inches of rain over the last couple of days. SO, the Boys Soccer game with Columbia City was cancelled.

The very first priority in determining wether to cancel a game or not, is the safety of our players. The general rule for soccer is NO STANDING WATER on the playing surface. We had lots of standing water on the field and it just did not appear to be safe for play. The Soccer Sectional is just too close and we can not afford any injuries. If we can't guarantee a safe playing surface we aren't going to play. Period!

Both teams agreed it was too late in the season to reschedule the game. So, the regular season is over.

In talking with Central Noble's Athletic Director, he checked their field and determined it was safe to play. Our girls will be playing there tonight. You just never know how one field will react to the rain. Their football field is swamped and they could not play a game. But, their soccer field, is ok. Go figure!
