It seems to be an epidemic lately for both the Lady Railroaders and now the Railroaders, poor shooting nights. The Boys team shot only 30% compared to 48% for Central Noble and that led to a 50-43 loss tonight at GHS. A lot of that was the 13% from the 3 point line, but we didn't burn up the nets from inside the arc either. We had only 14 turnovers to 16 for Central Noble. That's still too many but not terrible. We also go out rebounded but not by a huge margin. I know they say defense wins championships and I am a defensive guy, but you still have to score.
Drake Landes played really hard and led the team once again with 18 points. He really had a great first half. But, we had no one else in double figures.
The competition will get tougher and tougher the next couple of weeks as the Boys travel to Adams Central on Saturday. The "talk" in the conference is that AC is one of the toughest, if not the toughest, team in the conference. Going to the "Hanger" to play is never easy. Make sure you make the trip to help support the Railroaders on Saturday Night!
