Tonight the Railroaders hosted the Quad wrestling meet in the Bateman Gymnasium. The meet featured 3 dual meets for each school with the Railroaders facing Southern Wells, Woodlan, and Adams Central.
The wrestlers soundly defeated Southern Wells, 54-27. We were defeated by Woodlan, 39-36, in a very close match. Then we were defeated by a very good Adams Central Team, 62-10. Austun McCray went 3-0 along with Hayden Lee. One of the most exciting mtaches of the night was Zack Helton pinning Travis Normand with 10 seconds left in the match. This match kept us in the hunt against Woodlan.
Great work wrestlers and good luck at Carroll on Saturday. The wrestlers will also wrestle over the Christmas break when they wrestle at the Premier tournament in the state at the Al Smith Classic in Mishawaka. That tournament is a two day tournament on December 28th and 29th.
