It wasn't a great offensive night for either team. But, the Lady Railroaders defeated Fremont 36-33 tonight at Fremont. Garrett shot 39% and Fremont 29% from the field. The Free throw shooting was also close with Garrett shooting 69% to 63% for the Lady Eagles. Fremont committed fewer turnovers but the Railroaders dominated the boards with 27 rebounds to 18 for the Eagles.
Brandi Dawson led the team with 14 points and 7 rebounds. Jordyn Knott had 9 points and 5 rebounds. Katie DePew had 7 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, and 4 steals.
The team hosts South Adams in an ACAC matchup on Saturday in the Bateman Gym.
The ACAC Draw will be held on Thursday afternoon in Decatur. The Railroader Basketball teams will hope to draw the first round of the tournament at home The tournament will takes place on January 10th, 2012. Good Luck Teams!
