The Lady Railroaders started out the game tonight 5-0. Then the host Lady Lions ran off 12 straight points to take the lead. But the Railroaders fought back to within one point at halftime, down 27-28. The Railroaders shot 50% from the Field, 56% from the Free Throw line and had 8 turnovers. BUT, then came the second half.
We committed 11 turnovers and only shot 29% from the field. Leo shot 33% the first half and 48% the second half and had only 8 turnovers the entire game. Garrett shot a season low 60% from the free throw line while Leo shot 83%. That was too much for the Railroaders to overcome and Garrett lost it's first ACAC game by the score of 39-60.
The girls will try it again next week when they travel to Adams Central next Friday Night. The Boys play at Fremont next Tuesday night. The only home event next week is the Railroader Matmen when they host Leo next Thursday Night.
